Jared Leto is best known for his outstanding work in My So-Called Life, Requiem for a Dream, and Dallas Buyers Club. Where will he be seen next?

Here are all the upcoming movies and TV shows that Jared leto is confirmed to appear. Raised in a community of artists, the Oscar-winning actor has been in touch with his creative side since he was a child and has a long list of acting, director and producer credits. After his breakthrough performance as Jordan Catalano in the teen drama My so called life, Leto made his stage debut in Jocelyn Moorhouse How to make an American quilt. His performance as the main character in the biographical film Prefontaine was also well received, giving him supporting roles in Fight Club, Girl interrupted, and American psychopath.

Leto is well known for engaging in some pretty extreme means of preparation for his acting roles. Like Harry Goldfarb in Requiem for a dream, the actor lived on the streets of New York with a group of heroin addicts, starved himself and avoided having sex in order to express his real urges on screen. As Mark David Chapmann, the infamous killer of Beatles member John Lennon, in the movie Chapter 27Leto quickly gained over 60 pounds, which required him to use a wheelchair due to gout. Leto played the Joker in the DCEU Suicide Squad to the point where he would have terrorized his fellow cast members and crew on set.

His most recent roles include Niander Wallace in the sci-fi film Blade Runner 2049 and its accompanying short film, 2036: Dawn of the Nexus, and Nick Lowell in HBO crime thriller The foreigner. He also appeared in the Neo-Noir filmThe small things as Albert Sparma and received Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild nominations. Despite his many accolades, it looks like Leto has no plans to slow down anytime soon. Here are the 5 movies and shows that Jared Leto is currently set to appear in, in 2021 and beyond.

Gucci House (2021)

Gucci Leto House

Set for a theatrical release on November 24, 2021, Ridley Scott’s biographical crime drama Gucci House explores the events of the murder of Maurizio Gucci (Adam Driver) at the hands of his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani (Lady Gaga). Leto plays Maurizio’s cousin Paolo Gucci, the company’s chief designer and vice president in the 1960s, who was hired and then fired by his father and uncle. For this role, Leto must once again radically transform and disappear into character, this time with a bald head, body prostheses, and flashy designer clothes. The film also stars Salma Hayek as Pina Auriemma, who allegedly organized the actual murder, and Al Pacino as Aldo Gucci, former president and eldest son of company founder Guccio Gucci.

Morbius (2022)

Jared Leto as Michael Morbius in Morbius

Set in Sony’s Spider-Man universe, Morbius is finally scheduled for January 28, 2022, after more than two years of delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Although Leto has been rumored to play the Marvel character for some time, he only accepted the role after meeting director Daniel Espinosa (Secure house) on his take on what the movie will look like. Here, Leto becomes the faulty anti-hero Michael Morbius, who gains superhuman powers and abilities and a supernatural bloodlust after testing a cure for his rare disease himself. He is joined by the former Doctor Who directing Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal and Tyrese Gibson. Some have even speculated that Sony Morbius could lead to a Sinister Six project down the road, potentially preparing Leto to return.

WeCrashed (2022)

Leto WeCrashed

WeCrashed is an upcoming podcast-focused drama WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork. Leto is Adam Neumann, the co-founder of WeWork, a workspace real estate company whose exponential rise has only led to its inevitable downfall. Anne Hathaway plays his wife Rebekah opposite him, and the two will also be executive producers of the 8-episode miniseries. Rounding out the cast are Kyle Marvin as co-founder of WeWork, Miguel McKelvey, and America Ferrera, who plays entrepreneur Elishia Kennedy. Production for the miniseries has been relatively swift, particularly during a pandemic, with AppleTV + commissioning the show in December 2020 and the cast rotating from May through September 2021.

Drifting (to be confirmed)

Leto adrift

After more than 20 years, Jared Leto finds Requiem for a dream director Darren Aronofsky for the horror production Adrift. According to the news of Ring author Koji Suzuki, the film is about an abandoned yacht that still sends a distress call. The crew of a fishing boat agree to tow it to port, and Leto’s character – presumably – finds a logbook detailing what happened to the passengers on the yacht. Apparently, it took Leto over a decade after meeting Suzuki’s story just to secure the production rights. While there is no confirmation of the official start of production, Leto and Aronofsky’s tag team reunited on the big screen made Adrift one to watch out for.

Untitled Andy Warhol Biopic (to be confirmed)

Leto Portrait Warhol

In 2016, it was reported that Jared Leto would star and produce a biopic on Andy Warhol. The film is based on the definitive work of Victor Bockris in 1989 The life and death of Andy Warhol, with a scenario of Boardwalk Empire creator and the wolf of Wall Street writer Terence Winter. Not much else was revealed about the project, although in August 2020, on what would have been Warhol’s 92nd birthday, Leto officially confirmed his role in the film via Instagram.

Tron 3 (to be confirmed)

Untitled Leto Tron

More than a decade after the release of Joseph Kosinski Tron legacy, an untitled Tron 3 the film – apparently not a direct sequel, but not a reboot either – is in the works now. In August 2020, it was announced that Australian filmmaker Garth Davis would lead the project, with Leto also confirming his role. In a now-deleted tweet, the actor even accidentally revealed a potential headline in “Tron: Ares “, which can even be a reference to his character’s name. Jared leto expressed his enthusiasm for working on the film, citing the impact of Steven Lisberger’s original 1982 film, as well as the classic video game, on his childhood and career.
