Participant reenacts with ‘Wonder’ producers Lionsgate and Mandeville Films for ‘White Bird’ drama

The contestant will co-fund “ White Bird: A Wonder Story ” after supporting the 2017 box office success that starred Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson.
The participant works again with Wonder producers Lionsgate and Mandeville Films for upcoming film adaptation White bird: a story of wonder, based on the novel by RJ Palacio and currently in production.
After the 2017 adaptation of Wonder, also written by Palacio and starring Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson, earned a gross worldwide box office of $ 305 million, Lionsgate began developing the White bird the book-film adaptation, and David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman of Mandeville Films returned to produce alongside Palacio.
Helen Mirren and Gillian Anderson were previously named co-stars for White bird, with Ariella Glaser and Orlando Schwerdt in the lead roles and Bryce Gheisar reprising his role as Julian from Wonder.
The participant will co-finance the companion film directed by Marc Forster for Wonder, which the participant also co-financed and produced by the executive. “Wonder is a shining example of what inspirational storytelling can achieve, and we’re excited to partner again with our friends at Lionsgate and Mandeville Films, as well as RJ Palacio and Marc Forster, âsaid attendee CEO David Linde in a communicated.
White bird: a story of wonder is a production of Mandeville Films in association with 2DUX2. Entrants’ Jeff Skoll and Robert Kessel will executive produce alongside Alex Young for Mandeville. Renee Wolfe, Forster’s partner in 2DUX2, is also an executive producer.
The screenplay adaptation of RJ Palacio’s book is by Mark Bomback (The art of running in the rain, War for the Planet of the Apes). The financing agreement for the film was negotiated on behalf of the Participant by Jeannine Tang. John Biondo negotiated the deal for Lionsgate.
