The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) and PVR have collaborated to bring the country’s culture to India by hosting a special screening of “BLACKPINK: The Movie”, based on the famous Korean pop group, for Hallyu fans here. The event, which took place this weekend here at PVR Director’s Cut, brought together 30 winners of a social media contest launched for Hallyu fans in the capital last month.

“Thanks to the growing popularity of K-pop and K-Dramas, there has been a huge increase in the overall knowledge of South Korea as a destination, its food and its culture.

“We hope to capitalize on this new found love for Korea among Indians and convert it into real travel. Once travel resumed, we would actively promote famous Korean movie and drama shooting locations as tourist spots that we would like to see. Korean fans will visit in the future, “said YG Choi, director of KTO, New Delhi.
