Unraveling the Web of All the Upcoming Spider-Man Movies
Considering he’s one of pop culture’s most beloved superheroes, it’s not too surprising that there are myriad plans to make a huge range of movies starring not just Spider-Man , but a slew of supporting heroes and villains that make up its own little Spider-Verse. But there is only so lots are happening, we thought you might like a reminder of what’s in the works. Here are all the upcoming Spider-Man movies.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Part 2)
Spider-Man: Through the Spider-Verse is the next sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the highly acclaimed animated Spider-Man movie starring Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore), Gwen Stacey (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld), and an older Peter Parker (voiced by Jake Johnson). Unfortunately, the film was delayed.
Spider-Man: Through the Spider-Verse will delve deeper into the multiverse explored by the first film and will likely feature more Spider-Men, including Spider-Man 2099, voiced by Oscar Isaac. We’ll see Spider-Man: Through the Spider-Verse in theaters June 2, 2023. It’s also sweetly titled ‘part one‘ at the end of the trailer, with ‘Second part’ scheduled for March 29, 2024.
Madame Web
A Madame Web The movie is on the way, following Spider-Man’s character of the same name. Madame Web was usually a supporting character in the comics and isn’t widely known, but hey, neither is Morbius. We don’t know much about the movie yet, other than this one starring Dakota Johnson and releasing on July 7, 2023 (around the same time as Spider worms).
Kraven the hunter
Another Spider Man villain gets a solo movie. Kraven the hunter is about Kraven… the hunter. He is a big game hunter with the goal of catching Spider-Man. It will feature Aaron Taylor-Johnson, with a 2023 release date being considered. It is still early for Kraven the hunter, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens. The latest development is that Levi Miller has been added to the cast.
Silk
While Silk was previously considered a movie, it is now understood to be a live-action spin-off television series. According to Film Talk, a Silk A TV show has been in the works since September 2020, although there has been very little news since then.
Silk is about a Korean-American teenager named Cindy Moon, who was also bitten by a radioactive spider. This leads him to become Silk, a hero slightly different from the Peter Parker we’re used to, with the ability to shoot webs from his fingertips and move at rapid speeds.
Spider-Gwen / Spider-Women
After the success of Into the Spider-VerseSony Pictures Animation almost immediately started considering the next Spider Man films to create its own animated complement to the Spider-Verse. Initially, these interviews focused on Hailee Steinfield’s take on Earth-65’s Gwen Stacy as seen in Into the Spider-Verseaka Spider-Gwen.
But while several heroes were on the cards “specifically female Spider heroes” from the start, producer Amy Pascal eventually confirmed that Gwen would be joined by two other high-profile heroes in the film: Cindy Moon, aka Silk, and Jessica Drew, aka the original Spider-Woman from the Marvel Universe. Lauren Montgomery, co-producer of Dos Santos on Voltron: Legendary Defenderwill direct the image.
It’s been a while since we’ve heard of this project, but Kevin Feige has reportedly floated the idea of having Spider-Gwen in two major Marvel movies, but we’ll have to wait and see.
Jackpot
We haven’t heard much about this movie since last year, but we haven’t heard of it being canceled, so at the moment it might still be in pre-production. Supposedly, it will be written by Marc Guggenheim, focusing on the titular hero Jackpot, whose cells are rewritten to give him superhuman strength. We’ll let you know if we hear anything.

Every Canceled Spider-Man Movie We Know About
Alas, writing this list in 2021, one must acknowledge the Spider Man adjacent films that have been canceled. For many of them, development hell seems to be setting in, with no news regarding production. The above Silk the live-action movie genre matters, as do several other movies.
Moving on, the Black Cat and Silver Sable movie was also canceled. Title ‘Silver & Black’ in pre-production, this movie was supposed to be a pairing of the two iconic Spider-Man characters. While a Black cat movie has been planned, we haven’t seen anything about it recently yet.
The Sinister Six The movie was also canceled a long time ago, and we’re unlikely to see it return anytime soon. Originally, it was supposed to be a team-up film about the iconic Spider Man villains like Mysterio, Vulture, Sandman, and Electro, but that’s pretty much dead and buried.
One thing’s for sure, it’s a good time to be a Spider Man fan.
